Video Editing
Stanley Kubrick once said "The only purpose of the production process is to get footage to edit." While every step in the process of visual storytelling is important, editing is where the pieces all come together and start to become something, a unified whole made from seemingly disparate parts. It's like cooking, where you take raw ingredients and turn them into something wonderful. Editing is simultaneously creative and technical, a balanced blend of emotion and reason.
Fisker Campaign
This started as an editing assignment in my DaVinci Resolve class at Hennepin Technical College. The instructor gave us the footage and a rough storyboard, and the result was the "Fisker - The Deal" video below. Then, as an independent exercise, I cut 60, 30, and 15 second versions using the same footage, again using DaVinci Resolve.

Other Projects
Food What You Love - Coquito
While attending Hennepin Technical College, my Intro To Video Production class worked with one of the culinary instructors, Chef Denis Durnev, on a show called "Food What You Love." I was the editor for the Coquito episode. This was cut using Adobe Premiere Pro, and the music is from Universal Production Music.
32 Shots
This was the final project for my DSLR Video Production class at Hennepin Technical College. The instructor handed us a list of 32 words and phrases and said "Get shots based on these, whatever your interpretation may be. Cut it to music in any order, and title the shots. Have fun." This was a solo project, and cut in Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects. The music is from Universal Production Music.
Beef O'Brady's - Philly Cheesesteak
Another piece from my time as a student at Hennepin Technical College, this is from my Corporate Video Production class. We produced several promotional spots for Beef O'Brady's in Andover, MN. I cut this using Adobe Premiere Pro, and the music is from Universal Production Music.
After Effects Music Video
This was an assignment for my Concepts of Interactive Media class at Hennepin Technical College, and my largest After Effects project to date. All images were downloaded from Pexels and Pixabay, and the music was done by my friend Tony and myself.
